i like new twists on old ideas

it always blows my mind whenever someone revisits an old concept in a new, creative way. it blows it even harder when that new, creative way is a giant green chicken.

this is the kind of thing i wish i had used as a child. how amazing would it have been to sit on your giant green chicken as the other kids played with their overrated, overused horses. talk about fostering the imagination.

somewhat along those lines is a concept i've always been fond of: objects in fur. call it a step back to nature, call it the innate human instinct for animal exploitation, call it what you will; things in fur are just fun*

this kind of reminds me of meret oppenheim's object: luncheon in fur:

basically, everything can be traced back to a movement in art. thanks, surrealism. you're a pal.

*exceptions: real fur, and this
